A significant part of the world more than 29% population inhabits rural area. In developing county like India, low cost and easy access to save drinking water is a necessity. But lately, the quality of drinking water in rural areas does comply with standards for human consumption owing to increase in bacterial load. According to WHO and UNICEF, 900 million people do not access to safe drinking water supply, and over 1.5 million children under 5 years of age die each year due to Diarrhea and it is a second most common cause of child deaths world wide. People in rural area can not afford costly and intensive method to purify water due to poverty and irregular electricity supply.
HydroCawach came with a Cavitation Handpump water-based cavitation principle. Cavitation is phenomenon of formation of nuclei, expansion and the collapse of bubbles violently which generates the microjets and shock waves resulting in the killing of the bacteria. This device can be easily retrofitted in line and do not require much modification in existing setup. The device itself does not require electricity or chemicals to operate. This modification in the pumping system resulted in approx. 95 % of water disinfection and particularly approx. 99.87 for E.coli. It is one time installation process and maintenance free.
Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of rural communities by providing innovative, sustainable, and affordable solutions for clean drinking water access. We aim to empower communities with technology that addresses their specific needs while promoting environmental sustainability and social equity.Hydrocawach device doesn't require any chemical, filter or electricity to operate. It is one time installation and maintenance free. It is cost effective solution for rural community.

Improved Community Health: The installation of the water disinfecting hand pump results in a significant improvement in community health by reducing the incidence of waterborne diseases. Families experience fewer cases of diarrhea, cholera, and other illnesses, leading to a higher quality of life and increased productivity.
Empowerment of Women and Girls: Women and girls, who traditionally bear the burden of water collection, experience empowerment as the hand pump reduces the time and effort required for fetching safe and clean water. This allows them to pursue education, economic activities, and community involvement more freely.
Enhanced Social Cohesion: Access to clean water fosters a sense of community well-being and cooperation. Villagers no longer need to travel long distances to fetch clean and safe water, leading to increased interaction among community members and stronger social bonds.
Educational Opportunities: Children benefit from improved health and increased school attendance due to reduced waterborne illnesses. Access to clean water at schools also enhances hygiene practices, creating a conducive environment for learning and development.
Reduction in Waterborne Diseases: Quantitatively, the decrease in cases of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea and cholera serves as a measurable indicator of the hand pump's impact on public health. Carbon Emission Reduction: The water disinfecting hand pump operates without the need for electricity or chemical disinfectants, resulting in reduced carbon emissions compared to conventional water treatment methods. This contributes to mitigating climate change and environmental degradation.
The successful installation of water disinfecting hand pumps across multiple villages or regions marks a significant achievement, indicating progress towards universal access to clean water.
Conducting regular health impact assessments to measure the reduction in waterborne diseases and improvements in community health serves as a milestone in demonstrating the effectiveness of the hand pump intervention.
Engaging local communities in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the hand pump infrastructure fosters ownership and sustainability. Achieving high levels of community participation is a crucial milestone in ensuring the long-term success of the intervention.
